great cleat! - Jul 19, 2013
Player: Anonymous (chapel hill, nc)
these are a great cleat and you can't beat the price for k-leather. they fit great right out of the box, although they gave me a small blister on my heel after the first use, although i suspect that is because i do not like to snug-up my shoes due to my wide foot. lesson learned! but they perform very well and are breaking in nicely! pumas are the best cleat out there for wide feet and the quality is superb. my last pumas endured 3 years of serious abuse!

Disappointed - Mar 13, 2012
Player: Scouser (SoCal)
I use to wear this shoe many years ago. Great feel and quality. Now......all I can say is i was really disappointed. Quality was below par and leather seemed "cheap". Not the shoe remember. Now it's made in China! Puma should make them like they used to or just retire the shoe. It's no longer the King, sad to say.

Best boots I've ever owned - Oct 14, 2011
Coach: Kerry (Cabot Arkansas)
These are without a doubt the best boots I've ever owned. They came out of the box with a "broken in" feel. The leather provides wonderful touch and control. Whether I'm playing on my mens team or coaching, these boots provide comfort. I've worn other versions of the Puma King family, but these are the best. I highly recommend them.

Solid, simple, classic cleat. - Jul 12, 2011
Player: Sullivan (Austin, TX)
The Puma King is an old school cleat great for any player playing in any position. The K leather upper is great and does a good job providing touch, comfort, and protection. After a couple of sessions the leather softened up nicely. It fits true to size and is suitable for a wide foot. If you have a narrow foot, you could go down have a size for a really snug fit. The only negative comfort wise was the ankle/heel area. While the rest of the boot felt snug and comfy, the ankle area felt a little loose. The ankle area rest higher than other cleats I'm used to. I was a little worried about my heel sliding up and down to much. So I made sure to really secure my laces tight. The tongue is a good length and folds over the top well. Studs are pretty simple and effective conical shape. This is the Puma equivalent of the Adidas Copa Mundial. So what your getting is a simple cleat design that has been around long enough to prove its worth. Having said that, there is also nothing amazing about this cleat. It is heavier than a lot of other cleats around these days. No special zones or pads to help with your shot or swerve or whatever technique you want your cleat to do for you. This is the type of cleat that works with you not for you. Overall I'm very satisfied with these and have enjoyed playing with these. Will definitely become my main cleats after I run my power cats into the ground.
