A Decent Buy - Oct 04, 2013
Player: Brave (AU)

Other reviews have mentioned this boot is very small, but in my case, purchasing a pair at 6.5US I usually wear between 6US and 7US, they don't seem too far off the marked size. The width does seem narrow compared to other boots I own, and on first impression, this makes them feel a bit cramped for my moderately wide feet. As with most shoes however, I'm expecting the upper to stretch with wear, and I don't expect this to be a problem once they have worn in properly. The narrower fit reminds me a little of some Nike models - the Mercurial Victory IV springs to mind - but obviously they are at a very different price point. Lengthwise they feel slightly tighter than marked, but perhaps this is not as dramatic as I've read in other reviews. In my case, probably about a quarter to a half size smaller, but I would definitely recommend erring on the larger side rather than the smaller when purchasing. The inner is well padded and quite comfortable, though the outer is notably rigid and stiff. I expect this will be great for durability and foot protection while playing - they seem quite solidly built - but this might mean a few additional games before they soften up and flex more comfortably. Although solid, the boot itself is not overly heavy. At this price point, it would be unreasonable to expect the amazing feel of something like the Adidas Samba from them, but they do have surprisingly decent touch and don't feel overly weighty when worn. At the time of writing, I have not had an opportunity to test my pair on a hardwood gym style surface, but the unusual tread is quite hard - not 'sticky' like many other indoor boots - so I am a bit concerned about slipping on smooth surfaces with them. Still, it's probably a bit harsh to judge the tread without giving them a proper run on an indoor court, and the outer has been fine for kicking a ball around on gravel, brick, grass and smooth concrete so far. All up? A decent buy and reasonably priced.

This shoe look great but is almost a full size smaller than marked, so my player can use it...
