Greatest boot for Artificial Grass/Turf - Jan 28, 2013
Player: Leone (Up in the North, Canada)

It is obvious that Nike put a lof of effort into this one. Out of the box comfort with no blisters and true to size, perfect for medium to wide feet.. ample space in the toebox, but perhaps not a great fit for those with very narrow feet. The grip on artificial grass is great. Less stud pressure compared to FG cleats, and better traction vs standard turf shoes. I am usually a kangaroo leather guy, but the artificial grass used to kill my boots in less than a season. These are synthetics, and after 4 practices and 4 games, no signs of the boot getting eaten up by the turf, and they are quite comfortable in fact. Order your actual size, as these will not strech. Although the first touch isn't as natural as with a K-leather boot, the synthetic material used here is actually quite thin and offers a good touch in fact. Nike has a winner here! For under60$ these are a steal! Even at 100$, these are a must for anyone playing on artificial grass... FG cleats are horrible on the knees, especially bladed stud versions, and you can actually injure yourself, SG is not an option, unless you are crazy, and turf shoes just don't give the same traction and feel bulky. I don't know why these aren't more heavily marketed, as the majority of North Americans tend to play on artificial grass fields, not natural grass ones. Keep it up Nike! The shot shield too offers some decent protection, although takes some time to get used to if you are used to playing with old school simple copas for example.
