Time Will Tell - Mar 08, 2013
Player: Matt (Los Angeles)

I received these last week and have worn them for two jogging/training sessions. They fit like slippers, pretty tight throughout the boot. They do fit narrow as is expected with Vapors. The new upper is an improvement over the faux leather from the Vapor VIIIs. The touch is great, especially when dribbling. I find them a little more difficult to juggle with than the LZs, probably because the shape is different and it'll take some time to get used to them. The AG soleplate is terrific. It's a lot more comfortable on artificial grass than my Predator LZs. Not too much traction, just the perfect amount. Turning, stopping, accelerating are all great. My only complaint is with the inner heel area. I wish Nike had used the suede material from the CTR360s. The Vapors have a slick, vinyl-like material that's resulted in some pretty intense blisters. I think this was actually exacerbated by my TruSox which feel a little bulky inside the tight Vapor. I hope with time they break in and this goes away. If I had to choose again, I'd probably go with the CTR360s if they were available with the AG soleplate. But if the blisters stop then I'll be more than happy with these Vapor IXs.
