Defender Review - Mar 16, 2014
Player: Konrad (Chicago)

This shoes seem good at first and there really nice. There really comfortable and they fit right. The only problem with these is that there not durable at all. I had these for barely 2 months and the outside part/toe where you kick with breaks apart really quickly. I think most players look for durability and trust me, these shoes are not one of them.

One of the best leather cleats you can buy - Mar 08, 2014
Player: J-money (Kalamazoo MI )

These shoes are made with the most top quality leather a boot could have. The boot is in no way heavy or bulky. The leather forms to your foot nicely and offers a very comfortable and tight fit. I wear size 8us usually but with these I went down to a 6. Get them tight because they stretch. Great touch with these too

Amazing simplicity - Feb 19, 2014
Coach: Soccer coach (Texas)

These boots are simply just amazing. I've known about the Copa Mundial's for a long long time now. I've been one who looked for the newest in technology expecting the best each time I bought a new pair of cleats. Although there are many great boots out there with the newest technology, they do not compare to the greatness of the Copa Mundial’s. I was always hesitant to purchase the Copa's even knowing the reviews were outstanding simply because these were boots designed decades ago. Well… Some things just simply remain perfect after years of being in existence. Adidas has this in the Copa Mundial. One of the best all around soccer boots of all time and the proof is there. I AM A BELEIVER! These boots are heaven on my feet. After a several friends recommended I should just try them… and seeing other players and coaches still wearing them, I finally gave in. I ordered my first pair this week and tried them out at practice yesterday. The leather is the finest Kangaroo I’ve experienced in a boot. Even being just out of the box, they were better than my broken in Nike Premier’s. They are way better than my Adipure’s and Lotto’s that I’ve tried in the past. The touch on the ball feather like and will only get better as these boots break in and conform to my foot even more. If you are like me and are holding out from not buying into the hype of these boots, forget about it. Buy these boots. You will not regret. I will now by one of the newer colors for my daughter. Well done Adidas!!

Incredible Classic Boot - Oct 24, 2013
Player: Mikal Wagner (Carbondale, Illinois)

I bought these boots because I was on somewhat of a budget but wanted a good pair of soccer cleats to play in. Normally I usually wear Nike cleats and have almost always gone with total 90 series and the ctr360 series. This is truly the first pair of Adidas cleats I have decided to try out on pitch and I'm not disappointed. I usually wear a size 9 U.S. Nike and I have narrow feet, but had to get a much smaller size in these. I actually had to get a size 7 U.S. but expect to most likely have to compensate a smaller size of about half or one whole size. I think my size was because I have very small feet. These cleats run more narrow than most other modern Adidas cleats I tried on predators/adipures which is why I usually go back to Nike but these are certainly an exception to the Adidas norm. The break in time was longer than what I expected about 6-8 hours of playing time, but when they finally did they fit like a glove and are extremely comfortable! The best cleats I have owned! Chelsea Dubin Leather Food helped the break in process and also helped with water proofing. These cleats are definitely an excellent buy compared to the usual price I had to pay for Nike total 90s and ctr 360s 200-300$. These cleats are very durable and touch on the ball is impeccable. I may never go back to synthetic again. I was hesitant switching from Nike to Adidas but these cleats have taken all my worries away. Even with narrow feet these cleats molded very well. I will definitely be buying another pair soon when they feature the new colors for the 2014 world cup.

Classic boot for a classy game - Oct 22, 2013
Coach: Johann (Merritt Island, FL USA)

While searching for my next set of boots, I was mesmerized with the variety of great shoes available. The colors, the technology, the song and dance. I have gone through many expensive boots that were fun looking but didn't have the durability I expected for the prices I was paying. I finally caved in and wanted to find out for myself why a boot that has been around so long was still hanging around with the new boys in town. Well, I have been pleasantly surprised. The simple design and comfort of the kangaroo leather is classically refreshing. The leather molds around your foot better than most boots because it's one continuous cut of leather...no synthetic blend of spliced materials. The touch is true and better yet, this boot is made to last. The cost-benefit is on the Copa's side as well. Overall, very happy to use this boot for many years. Thank you Adidas and Soccer.com!

Great support but heavy & sized long - Oct 09, 2013

They feel great, but they are heavy compared to other boots I've had in the past and are a run long for thinner feet keep that in mind when ordering. I had to go down a full size.

Still going strong - Sep 13, 2013
Coach: TIM (CT)

Just browsing around for boots and decided to look at the Copas on this site. I've worn these boots for 30 yrs. 2 pairs in that time frame, and saw all the reviews. Had to check them out. Everybody says what I'm thinking. I've played for 20 yrs., coaching since with these boots. Originally tagged from Germany. My second pair made in Indonesia. Still great craftsmanship. Feed your Kangaroo leather and they WILL last along time. Touch and response, GREAT. The feeling of slipping them on after a previous match or training in inclement weather is great, snug and form fitting after getting wet. Going to buy another pair in future. Still trying to convince my teens to try a pair. Guess they're not colorful enough. Their loss. teens

Shoe Sizing - Sep 04, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous (Canada)

Shoe sizing is not true to size and seem to run about a 1/2 size bigger. Hubby is typically a 9 in the indoor turf shoe and this shoe was a bit big in the same size.

Why the Copa is Still the Best - Aug 25, 2013
Player: Jose Reyes (Ohio)

I have to say that I am just absolutely astounded with this shoe. Starting out I was a little skeptical. While I am a fan of K-leather boots, I definitely normally wear boots that have more color and have more modern feel to them. I have to say that I love these boots. The upper is fantastic. The leather is so soft from right out of the box and it only gets softer. The touch and feel for the ball is amazing. The quality of the leather is simply top notch for the price. I am a center back who dribbles a lot. These shoes feel great for those tricky little step overs and flicks. Shooting also feels great. Shots are solid yet soft. I will admit that the traction on these bad boys doesn't exactly grip like a Vapor, however it gets the job done and does it very well. The tongue is large and a bit bothersome a from the first wear, but after a training session I guarantee that this will change. The only downside that I will say these shoes have is their weight. I normally don't care about the weight of the shoe all too much. With these the weight doesn't necessarily bother me. The weight simply reminds me that they are on my feet. Over all how do they compare to the NIke Premier. I have both and have purposely worn both the same amount of time. While the NIke Premier is a great boot it simply doesn't compare in quality. I take great care of my boots and my pair of Premiers is already starting to show sings of being done. The Copa on the other hand still looks new. My advice is this. If you don't mind having to buy a boot more frequently and want a lighter boot, than buy the Premier. If you want a boot that is going to last longer with a similar feel, get the Copa. When you order the Copa, make sure to order a full size down. The comfort of this shoe is determined by the initial fit. If it doesn't fit snug from the first time you try them on, you will be left with a sloppy fit. This is simply a fantastic boot and possibly the best in terms of value for money. 5 Stars.

Easy to break in. - Aug 22, 2013
Player: Jane (MN)

This is a great shoe, I often get blisters when breaking in a new shoe but not this one. I am a woman and this is a mens shoe. I am usually an 8.5 running shoe, an 8 regular shoe and ordered a 6 in men's and it was perfect.

Best boot for comfort hands down! - May 03, 2013
Reviewer: Chris (North Western Ontario, Canada)

I have played soccer for over 20 years and I have tried the most expensive boots and I figured I would try this boot since had great reviews ....Lets put it this way money well spent but do make sure order a smaller size for sure..I normally wear 10.5 and I have extra wide feet and the 10 is pretty much perfect fit. So probably a full size smaller for the average foot.

classic/sure bet - Mar 18, 2013
Player: Adolfo (Lake Elsinore, CA)

The Copa already has excellent reviews, what I wanna say is that like many players, I've worn these shoes for over 20 years. Have tried the newer tech shoes several times even in the $150-180 price range and always come back to these. Yes, the shoe is dated and could use better soleplate and support, but when considering all the pros and cons these shoe is on top.

Overall - Oct 18, 2012
Player: Luis Carlos Ramirez (Yuma, AZ, USA)

I have only bought one pair of Copas and i have only used them twice. Right out of the box the leather is super soft. Sense the studs are a type of rubber and the sole plate is thick there is no stud pressure whatsoever. The laces are very long but that is normal for the Copas, but sense most of us are used to short laces you might want to buy a pair. Although the laces do give you that tight fight in the middle of your foot. I still stand at my belifes where everyone should try the Copas because they are just amazing.

A decade of reliability - Oct 16, 2012
Player: Player Coach Referee (Upstate NY)

After going through three pairs of Copa Mundial I am pleasantly pleased to say the price, the quality and sizing haven't changed. I have used these for firm and soft ground play as player, coach and referee. The stud position gives you a well balanced traction for short stops and change of direction. The width fits my wide foot. With the kangaroo leather you can feel the ball and have a better response. A key to longevity of this product is to clean it and use Chelsea Leather Food. After playing at least three times a week and one competitive match for the last 10 years of my soccer experience, I highly recommend this product.

Classic Time Capsule - Oct 09, 2012
Player: Will H. (Cornelius, NC)

This was the boot I played high school soccer in 20 years ago. They got lost in a move and I ended up trying out several other brands Puma, Nike before I decided to go back to my roots and get Copas. I ordered half a size smaller I went at least 2 sizes smaller in high school and while they still fit, I wish I had gone a full size smaller to get that really snug feel. I did not wear them in the shower to shrink the leather or get them to mould to my feet, they are comfortable as is - right out of the box and right into a match with no break-in period. Unfortunately, they have not made me a better and faster player, but it is fun to look down and think I am still in high school!

i've had these cleats for half a season now, and they are absolutely amazing. These boots give you a great touch on the ball. The k-leather is heaven to any foot out there. However though, you MUST polish the leather on these boots every other week, i didnt polish these boots until i saw the toe of the boot turning gray which was about last week. Other than that everything about the boot is fantastic.

I've always had a pair of these, plus some other boot to swap into. I finally broke down and bought my son a pairhe's been complaining about his nice synthetics not protecting his feet. He loves these, and liked the 'old school' style. They run slightly larger than his F50s, and will likely stretch more if my own experience with them is an indication. Can't go wrong with these workhouse boots.

haven't changed in almost 30 years for a reason - Sep 07, 2011
Player: Chris Chandler (Columbus, GA USA)

copas are the quintessential soccer boot. in my 20 years of playing i've never found a better feeling and fitting boot. kids these days are too concerned with flashy colors and whatnot. they buy cleats that are 2 to 3 times the price just to complain about how much their feet hurt and how many blisters they have. i can all but guarantee you won't have that issue with copas. in my opinion, there is no upper more comfortable than kangaroo leather. the only thing that you MUST remember is that they run a full size small i.e. if you wear an 11 normally, get a 10. they will stretch to fit your foot. these boots are ESPECIALLY good for people with narrow feet as the sole is relatively narrow. but, don't let that turn off you wide-footed folks. i really can't sing enough praise for these boot! i've converted all of my footballing friends to these from cheap, bargain cleats. to make a long story short: if you're looking for new boots, look no further.

Awesome, very comfortable. - Jul 12, 2011

I have had these cleats for about a year now and they are awesome. My Dad and Mom used them in College and High school and got me into them. Before, I used the Yellow F10, F50 model, and I love these alot more. the laces are extremely long but I tied them around the cleat and got alot more comfort and tightness. They mold to your foot like clay and give you outstanding comfort. These are by far the best cleats I have ever had. I encourage other teenagers like myself to use these instead of the new very flashy cleats.

Classic - May 24, 2011

These are classic shoes. They get the job done, require almost no break-in, are extremely comfortable. Excellent control and stability. Simply a timeless piece of soccer history. It's rare to find a product that can still hang at the top of the line for 20 years. Some people complain about the lack of power with them. They are a soft, real leather shoe, so they wont be quite as dynamic as some of the newer space age designs/materials. Their control is fantastic and they just feel right for your foot. It's a fair trade. They run way big. I would comfortably recommend dropping 1 full shoe size. I have adidas running shoes, and copa indoor/casual shoes in 9.5. 8.5 was just about right in these, and still leaning towards too big. Order them small!

Not Tight Enough - Apr 03, 2011
Player: Timothy Tucker (Athens, GA USA)

This is one of the cheapest basic cleat you can get: K-Leather, basic round studs. Nothing fancy. Sad to say. I think this boot needs a little more upgrading to it, sad to say. The K-Leather does mold to your foot and keep a good fit on it. The touch is nice and the cleat has a little grip on the ball like I like it. The shots are nice and accurate. Not as powerful as other cleat I have previously owned. Where the flaw comes into this boot is the stretching of the K-Leather. A little after 6 months of having them. I have noticed the leather had stretched. The cleat began to slide on my feet as I ran and I even tried to tighten up the laces. This made my shots even less powerful and not as accurate. Adidas needs to update the cleat just a little bit and put Opti-Fit fitting on this. Then the cleat would have 5 stars.

They run big. Makes a huge difference. Tried to deal with the size. DON'T DO THAT. Lasted 3/4s a season. Sole started separating from boot. 2 inch rip up the side, straight through. Thought they would be great. I'm blaming the horrid hold up on the size. Be careful.

Top Class Boot - Feb 05, 2011
Parent: Collin (Georgia)

Everything about this boot is all a player could ever wish for. The only problem I had was the sizing. I wear a size 12 in a regular shoe, but I have to wear an 11.5 in these. Make sure to order a half a size down from what you normally would for a better fitting boot.

Great shoe's! - Jan 19, 2011

I bought these my freshmen year for high school. I had previously always used synthetic shoes and was skeptic of spending more money on much more exspensive shoes, But I have no regrets they fit well the touch is much better then anything else I've had. I'll continue buying them till hopefully after college if I continue playing.

The very best is still Kicking. - Dec 06, 2010
Player: Jose Reyes (Campbell, Ohio USA)

Well these are amazing. I don't actually own them but one day i had a game and forgot my boots so my coach let me use his. I was surprised because he just got them and i took them straight into a game with no problem. These offer a good touch on the ball as well as amazing comfort. They are very durable and are pretty protective. The traction good as well but i would prefer that the studs be a little longer so they dig into to ground more. The tong i am not so fond of but leaving it against my ankle is comfortable as i feel protected. There is a reason why every store that sells sports eqipment always has these in the soccer section. They have tested by so many and prove themselves time and time again. would recommend that you order half size down if you like a snug boot because the high quality leather molds and stretches to your foot pretty quickly. But if you like to have a little room in your boots go ahead and order your normal size. The width is perfect as i have wide feet but the length is pretty long. The only thing that i wold change about the boot is the weight and that is because they absorb alot of water. So if they made them lighter they wont feel as slow and bulky. The only thing that i would change was that. Other wise they are perfect as they are.

Nice shoe, but odd fitting - Dec 03, 2010
Player: Kovach (Michigan, MI USA)

I tried on the Copa's in a retail store a couple days ago and I wear a size 11 adidas shoe. My cleats range from 11 - 10.5. I tried on a 10.5 and I was swimming in them. From my experience with adidas cleats, they all fit about the same size-wise. But I haad so much room in these it was crazy. Tightened them up and everything still nothing. I kept moving down sizes and eventually I found one that fit. It was a size 9. I have about 6 other pair of adidas cleats and NEVER have I went below a 10.5, I still have no clue how this was possible but They do fit very well.

There is a reason that these have been around for as long as they have...they are great! Once broken in, they mold to your feet and give you great touches on the ball. They do require some maintenance such as leather treatment because they will dry out if you do not. I've had a lot of cleats and these are my favorite for the price. Sure Vapors are nice and light, but I'm never going back. I'll keep buying these!

Tried & True - Sep 09, 2010
Player: 3Blind Mice (New Jersey)

I had played over 17 years into the college level. After injuries & life took hold I couldn't play for almost another 8 years. Once I started playing again and my outdoor season began I needed to find a new boot. Today's boots all have their selling points. lighter, softer, synthetic, designed for more swerve/control, etc etc etc. Don't believe the hype. If you don't have a specific skill, a boot will not give it to you. My first purchase were the origional Black/White/Yellow CTR360. They are nice boots but I never felt totally comfortable in them. I needed something I believed in, and Copas have always been comfortable, reliable, and strong. These boots haven't been changed for many years, and there are good reasons for that. If you want to let your own skill dictate your game, and not the boot that promises some kind of play increase, Copas are the way to go.

LOVE these boots!! - Aug 19, 2010
Player: JEsse Clark (seatttle, wa.)

I love these boots so much, best quality boots! I removed my stripes and now they are all black. I would reccomend going one half size smaller because the leather will stretch. and when you lace them up to play, the leather will stretch and they will feel loose so I would suggest tightening them up right before the match after they have stretched out a bit. fit like a GLOVE!

Perfect for normal-width feet - Jul 18, 2010
Player: Josh (Wake Forest, NC)

I purchased these boots a few years ago when I was playing competitive high school soccer, and I must admit, they were probably one of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. The only problem I had with them were they are not quite wide enough for my feet I ended up tearing a hole straight through one of the boots where the weight from my instep had the most impact, and this occurred only after about 3/4 of a season of play. Yes, the leather itself is quite durable, but the means of which the leather is attached to the bottom plate of the boot, whether it be some sort of cement or other sticky substance, did not prove to hold up to my rough style of play/slightly wide feet.

Wow - Jul 18, 2010
Coach: Rob (Newark, OH USA)

I have had many soccer boots in my career, most of them above $200, but when it came time for me to get a new pair I didn't see any that looked appealing to me so I started asking players/coaches what they would recommend to me and 80-90 percent said the best boots they ever had was the Adidas Copa Mundial. So after I read the reviews on the Copa I decided to buy them. Now that I have wore them for a few weeks now I will have to say these are the best boots I have ever wore! The ball touch and control is just amazing! I talked so much good praise about this boot that my friend just ordered a pair last week. The fit of this boot is just the way I like it not big but not too snug, with that said I ordered my normal size. It has enough room in it so I can wear an extra sock if I want to. At first I was leery about the round studs but I will have to say the round studs give the same amount of traction as the bladed studs in my opinion. Of course I can't say how well these boots last, being I've only had them 3 weeks now but if they last me a year, my last Nike boots I got cost me $400 and lasted less than a year, I will be very happy as I am very tough on my boots. With all that said, if you are looking into getting a new boot I highly recommend the Adidas Copa Mundial to anyone! By the way I am a coach but I am also still an avid player.

Super comfortable. Super durable. Had them for about a year. The leather is finally separating on the inside of my toe after how many times I've dragged it on the ground due to all my mis-kicks...that is pretty impressive. Downside about them is that they are a bit heavy, the tongue is super big and weird, and the laces are long. Oh and sizing on this shoe is different than what I've previously experienced so I recommend trying them on before ordering online. All in all, I recommend these cleats.

Copa Mundial Shoes - Mar 27, 2010
Player: Samson (On the pitch)

I love the shoes but where did they make the laces? First time tieing up my boots one of my laces breaks!! That's unacceptable and really frustrating too. I like to tie the lace around the bottom of my shoe and now with one lace shorter, I can't tie it around the shoe. By tying the lace, I get some extra support for when I'm running fast and turning quickly cause I'm a really good player and now it's affecting my ability to cut sharp and to beat players when i'm out on the wing. It's kind of frustrating but what can I do. oh well

Great shoes but one flaw - Mar 03, 2010

If there is one complainant that I have with the Mundials it would be how heavy they get when wet. I have to play a lot of games early in the morning or in the rain. The kangaroo leather seems to absorb the water making my feet a little sluggish. Wouldnt change anything else about the shoe. The shoes are the best on the market. I have tried other shoes but nothing else even compares with the durability and feel on the Mundials.

What can I say that hasn't arleady been said about these boots!? I just bought these boots the other day, which I was sceptical about becasue they are, umm, ugly. But my coach, who played professonally for years, said they were the best boots out there. Turns out he was right. I got them supper tight because they stretch a ton. I wore them in the shower to break them in, and I leather food them every night. I am not exaggerating a bit when I say, "these are the best boots I have ever bought". They are so comfortable. The leather is so soft, supple, and thin so it gives a great touch and excelent ball control. They are trully amazing. I would recomend anyone and everyone buy these boots!

Ole reliable - Dec 02, 2009
Player: Rick B. (Houston Texas)

cleats are comfortable. Modified one cleat with a dremel tool by shaving it down. The cleat modified falls below the ball of the foot on the big toe side to prevent blisters - playing in Texas, most of the surfaces are hard and grinding that cleat down a bit prevents the excessive friction on that part of the foot. I seem to buy predators every other year and always fall back on my copa's. Playing for over 40 years and half of those years I used copa's. If adidas can figure out how to keep the white stripes from falling off after a season, the boots would be that much better.

A classic for good reason. - Sep 01, 2009
Parent: Robert (Twin Lakes, WI)

I had these in college and now my son has his first pair for his freshmen year of HS. He has also commented on the comfort and soft touch on the ball. Excellent light weight boot, feel for the ball and comfort all rolled into one. After many seasons of use in all types of weather, the tongue flopped down and the interior lining started to crack by the heal. Never walked on pavement and the cleats lasted a long time. Improvements?: all leather tongue, to encompass the back side and reinforced heal lining. Highly recommend these classic styled boots if you are an Adidas fan like me. The kangaroo leather is great and becomes like a glove once broken in. Laces are long, so prepare to replace or wrap them around the shoe or ankle before tying them up. I would generally run the laces between the rear studs, which helped "lock" in the boot to my foot.

I have all the expensive cleats like: The umbro sx flare, predators, lasers , and legends. Ever sence i try the copa mundial it gave me everything i needed, traction, stability, touch, and the shooting, but most of all the comfort. Now all i wear is copas. i have 6 pairs that i have bought for the past 4 months. I really recommend this cleats for beginners or any kind of players that want, the great touch and a great comfort boot for the game. Get a half size smaller or if you have been wearing legends get a whole size smaller. This is the best part of this boot. Because is made of kangaroo leather. once you break them in, it molds to your foot. So i really give this boot 5 stars. Is one of the best boot ever made.

I'v tried most of the newer boots, but none felt right to me and many caused weird pressure points on my feet. I went back to the Copa's... my Old Faithful's. I now have all four versions and have zero complaints. FYI...make sure to buy them with a tight fit out of the box. They will stretch and mold to your foot very well.

Perfect Shoe For Sever's Disease -Heel Pain - Mar 17, 2009
Parent: SoccerMom (Alabama)

Finally I found the perfect shoe for my daughter who has Sever's Disease. For the last 4 years we have searched and searched and spent LOTS of money to find a comfortable pair of cleats. These are the ones!! If your child has Sever's disease, give these a try. We added a great pair of gel cups and have had no complaints from her. They are very soft and are a lot more flexible than most other cleats. As for the size they run normal compared to all other Adidas cleats. Well worth the money.

Best soccer boot. Period! - Mar 05, 2009
Coach: Ralph (Nothern VA. USA)

My daughter was using Nike Mercurial but always had problems with discomfort in her heel. we got gel inserts and problems continued. We bought her the Copas and problem solved. These shoes are not flashy but anyone that knows about soccer boots will tell you they are the best in the market. handmade in germany. My daughter says they are the most comfortable shoe she has put on. NO blisters! A bit pricey but they are the last pair you will buy. I had to buy a pair of indoors for me. they are great.

Shoe for Refs & Matured Players - Feb 14, 2009
Referee: Winston (Oakland, CA)

Copa's are a good turf and hard ground shoe. The Kangaroo leather is soft and comfortable which makes it and excellent for referee's. Alternatively, it is not the best for players but not bad. The cleat grip on turf is excellent but it feels like my feet slip a little inside the shoe when I play. I prefer to play in my predators FG for playing in but, the FG clealt holds too much on turf. Bottomline, an excellent ref shoe but fair to good players shoe on turf.

Copa Mundials for life - Jan 02, 2009
Player: Julian (St.petersburg,Florida)

Alright, so far i have bought the $90 adidas predators k-leather and synthetic, the lotto legendera zhero due, and the nike total 90 strike, and now these. I am never going to buy anything other than the copa mundials again. The kangaroo leather is so soft you wont want to take these shoes off. I practiced with them right after i got these and my shot has really improved. Im a striker/midfield for my high school and nothing has worked better than the copa mundials. These shoes are top class and have become my favorite boot to play in. Overall i would recommend these to any player, do not go with the new technology and the new shoe styles because they suk, just go with the original boot that was intended to play soccer. Laces are long so a sweetspot is needed if you dont want the laces to come loose.

best all around shoe ever? - Dec 31, 2008
Player: Greg (Chicago)

I have been playing in this shoe for more than 10 years. Personally I think that this could be the best all around shoe on the market. You won't go wrong buying a pair. My only recommendation - go about a full size smaller than you normally wear. These stretch quite a bit.

The best.. hands down - Dec 16, 2008
Player: Anonymous

I am 18 years old and the starting varsity goalkeeper at my high school. I purchased these boots at the very beginning of my freshman year. That was FOUR years ago and these boots still are incredible and have wore very little. The studs do not erode at all, the comfort is unbeatable, and these are the cheapest real kangaroo leather boots on the market. They feel broken in the first time you put them on. Field players may prefer a more flamboyant and eye-catching shoe, such as the Predator series, but for a GK, you cannot top these. Spend the money, they last forever.

Best soccer shoes - Nov 26, 2008
Parent: Soccer mom (Greenwich, CT.)

My daughter loves these shoes. She's a goalkeeper and finds them comfortable and easy to move around in and kick the ball with. Something we never knew until a new coach pointed it out to her....the round cleats make it easier to pivot and turn, lessing the chances of injuries from turning too quick as opposed to the more retangular shaped cleats on the bottom of some of the soccer shoes she used to wear.

Overall a great boot. They may be kinda ugly, but the classic look and comfort make up. These boots relieved my pain in my heels and feet. If you have problems with your feet because of other shoes, i would recommend these boots. The leather is very durable, and with good care, will last a very long time. The most comfortable cleats i have had. I also like the look of the cleat and how classic they are.

One of the Best - Nov 10, 2008
Player: Taylor (SC)

This has to be one of the best classic cleats available. The kangaroo leather gives a great touch and will take a lot of abuse before separating from the outsole. With good care these cleats will do great for anyone who gets these. The only minor problem is that the insole wears down easily, but that can be fixed with a good pair of insoles. I will probably get another pair when my current pair wears out, but that might take some time.

The classic boots for a reason - Oct 25, 2008
Player: Matt (CA)

These are amazing cleats. They form to your foot as long as you buy a half size smaller than your norm in soccer cleats. I wear thick orthotics and these accommodate them perfectly. They feel much lighter than marked. My only complaint is how the sole turns a nasty shade of yellow after use. If you want copas in a different color, try and find a pair of profis. They are copas in different colors, a different looking tounge and different looking stitching. Also, Tim Lee, they make an indoor pair of copas - hint, hint.

Best Boot Ever Made - Oct 23, 2008
Player: nick (Everywhere , Military, USA)

I've been playing Futbol for about 20 years now and I have owned many different boots. From starting with the cheap stuff and moving up to the Profi. While the Profi was an amazing pair of boots, it will never compare to the classic Copa. I've owned several pairs of Copas throughout my playing career and every time I wear a pair out, I always say I'll try something new. I tried new, but always come back, nothing compares to the comfort, quality and affordability of the Copa Mundial.

If it ain't broke - Oct 04, 2008
Coach: Tim Lee (Tri-Cities, WA)

If you are looking for a boot that will allow you to compete at any level, including college, this is the one for you. I have played in Copa's since I was 15 years old and honestly, if I could wear these to work now as a casual shoe, I would -Amazing comfort-. Comfort, control, and weight make this shoe optimal for any player. Unfortunately, my last pair only lasted me 10 years -a little sarcasm-. I have been looking for new boots, but I don't think my choice will be that hard. All of these new shoes use gimmicks and flashy colors to get people to buy them. They lack what the Copa's have had all along. If you are looking for comfort, performance, and touch, stick with what has been used for years. There is a reason why this boot is still around. GET THESE! You will not regret it.

A wonderful fit and great quality shoe. The only complaints are that I ordered a 10 even though I'm a 10 1/2, and they were STILL too big! So I ordered a 9 1/2 and now they fit perfectly. In addition, I can feel some of the studs on the bottom of the shoes through the sole, but with a thin orthodic the problem goes away.

I have had these cleats before, and decided to try the adiPURES, which was a huge disappointment. So I got a pair of these again, and they are incredible. The kangeroo leather is softer than a baby's "bottom", and has terrific touch. The fit is perfect and break in takes just one good practice. They are very comfortable, and I would recommend these to any competitive player who wants a good quality cleat that will last. You will find these shoes give power and finesse, and will last many seasons. They're great for the price, and great all around.

I've read that these are great cleats and I wanna buy them, but everyone says that the sizing is kinda weird. People say to order a size down because they will stretch. I tried on a 9 1/2 and a 10 at a soccer store today. The 9 1/2 was kinda tight but everyone says that they stretch out. How much do they stretch out? Should I get the 9 1/2 or the 10? I'm thinking the 9 1/2 but i need to know. Thanks.

Stick with what works... - Jun 04, 2008
Player: Eric (Italy)

I spent about a month researching shoes and ordered a pair of Umbro cleats...nice but way too big. I sent them back and ordered the Copa's. I should have listened to what everyone that I have ever played with said "stick with what works". I remember these cleats for as long as I have been playing and have never heard anyone complain. I picked them up today and they just melted onto my feet. I can't wait to get them a little wet so they will shrink perfect around my foot. I wear a size 12 tennis shoe and ordered an 11.5 and they fit just right with soccer socks. They run about a half to one size big so ensure you factor this in...i.e. 12 sneaker=11-11.5 cleat.

The Copa's are great. Just simple, classic, and old-school, but they still perform awesome. What I like is the amount of good quality leather on it, other brands with K-leather never put much, and it's never that soft. But the Copa's whole shoe is made out of super-soft k-leather. Just an awesome shoe with awesome feel. -I have a real wide feet, and it's still comfortable in the shoe. Plus the K-Leather stretches and forms to your feet. -I wear a 7.5 size for soccer cleats, but for the Copa's I had to get 6.5. They run a size big.

these boots are so good. i have had them for about four or five months and train in them about four or five times a week. the leather is super soft. no complaints. it took about two times playing in them to break them in... but that is normal for a good boot. the traction is great, and the touch and power is really good. the only bad thing that they make the people you are playing against look bad. but they are about a half size to big.

These boots are a great classic that never get old. The K-leather molds to your foot within the first couple times you wear them, a quick way to break them in surprisingly is to shower in them and then wear them around. When buying, order a full size smaller than your regular size. I wear an 11.5 in most boots, and I am wearing a 10.5 in these with a wee bit of room still in the end.

The olds held up very well with only wear on the cleats. She never had a problem with blisters, so it was a no brainer to buy the same brand and style. In fact both of my daughters wear the Copas and both are equally happy with them. I had to buy boys sizes so I order one size number lower than female. Worked out great.

I have been playing soccer since I was a kid I am now 38 years old and play in an amateur league. These are the best cleats I have ever owned/tried. I have had one pair for almost 5 years, and they are probably good for another year or so. Very soft, very responsive, and comfortable. I have heard that the shoes made in Germany fair better than the ones made in China or Taiwan, but that might be just a rumor.

Very good cleats I bought these after my preds ripped and i am very impressed by what a great job these do for the price of 90 bucks, I definitely recommend these boots to any soccer player looking for a durable shoe. Also has a great touch and has some of the softest leather around, just make sure you take care of it

Central Mid Questionner - Aug 22, 2007
Player: Anonymous (Earth)

yo, i was wondering if this boot is really good for a central midfielder. i play a speed and touch game. i usually do the scissors, 360 roulette, and nutmeg. i no, not a big arsenal, but hey, to each his own. i had the talarias, and those were about 4.5 stars, just cause the laces get in the way sometimes. i no, sometimes its me, but sometimes its not.these boots are beastly, but i dont no if there right for me.i love the weight, and touch of them, but i dont no if the accuracy is really what i want. although, maybe putting some sweet spots on would help? i've been trying to research what to get, but i dont really know without experience. so please, if u have any input on this matter, share. ill check out any boot, no matter how generic or ugly it may be. if uve had it, hit me. i would love to have any response asap, but if u need to wait, 6 months, so be it. P.S. - the boot preferably should be durable.

Very Nice!!!! - Aug 21, 2007
Player: Sara (MI, USA)

Okay. I just got these boots about two weeks ago and they are amazing. The first time I wore them was in a tournament. They felt weird on my feet the first game but that is to be expected. By the end of the third game they felt really good. As you can see, there is almost no breaking-in time. The kangaroo leather stretches allowing the boot to fit like a glove. So when you are deciding what size to get, make sure they are pretty snug because they will stretch if they need to. I have found after only two weeks, that it is a good idea to stuff newspaper in them if you just played in the rain and then when they are dry, wipe off the extra dirt and then rub leather food into them. It keeps the leather flexible and helps preserve it. These are worth every penny you pay for them. So if you are looking for a very good quality and fairly inexpensive boot, I would go with these.

I bought a pair of these copas over a year ago and have yet to let me down. I broke them in in soccer practice in like two days. But i had no blisters or any real soreness. Im still playing in them with practically no problems. The only thing is that the leather started separating from the bottom on the inward side of the boots. But otherwise they are the ideal boot!

long lastinggreat touch - Aug 19, 2007
Player: Nick (NJ)

I have had these cleats for a year now and they are still in great condition. The only rips I have are on the white stripes base my laces rub on them and it ripped a bit and on the tongue on the inside of the crease where it folds over The leather is still extremely soft as long as you take care of it with the proper leather products. The tongue can be annoying in the begging but use an elastic and hold it down until it goes down right where u want it naturally. Great cleat, the size runs about a 1/2 size big so take note to it. This will be my 2nd high school season with them including a premier season and these are my favorite cleats ever

Awsome Cliets - Aug 11, 2007

Just got my German Copas and they have really good Kangaroo leather and I thought the outsole was pretty hard and durable. They are very comftorable. I had a few managable problems though. I thought the laces were too long ,but you can tye it around the shoe, cut them shorter, or replace them with shorter laces. Also i'm not sure if this is common in copas ,but my right chasis wasn't "Properly" attached to the outsole and was easably removable ,but I can just glue it back on "Properly". Other than that you get quality proffesional level shoe for less than $100. COMPLETELY RECCOMEND for those on a TIGHT BUDGET.

Profi vs Copa - Jul 26, 2007

The profi is just an upgraded version of the copa with a variety of colors and with the classic treefoil logo on the foldover tongue. The leather is slightly better and so is its touch. It depends if you think the slightly better leather, touch, foldover tongue, and colors are worth the extra $20.

I previously had these for 2 monthes until the leather split from the outsole. This happened because a soccer guy told me to get these a half size small because they will stretch. What an idiot. DO NOT get these a half size small because the sole will split from the leather. They have great touch and the leather was doing great. I also reccomend that you put leather food on them to preserve the leather. If you are looking for a classic, durable kangaroo leather shoe, these are a must have.

Great so far - Jun 09, 2007
Player: Sam (Rochester, NY)

i went with these and so far they're great. extremely comfortable, great touch, and you can bend the ball pretty well. it almost feels like you're playing barefoot. again, i just got these so i cant speak on the durability but i heard adidas makes these in germany and china, and the ones from germany r better made, so that might account for sum of the problems people r having.

I heard that its between Lotto Stadio $119.99 and Copa Mudial $89.99. So it just depends how much ur willing to spend.

You can't go wrong with these shoes. These and the Adidas Profi's which is pretty much the same shoe, different colors are the best shoes I've ever had. I'm comparing them to Predators, V1.06's, Vapors, and F50.7's. This isn't the best selling shoe for no reason. These are the best shoes. I wear a 12 in F50.7's and a 10 inthese in case anyone wanted to know about the sizing.

I want some new k leather shoes. I thought about the Copas. Then i saw that other brands had k leather boots like adidas Copa like the NOTE:the following names are SPELLED correctly PUMA king classic,UMBRO speaciali, DIADORA maracana, and LOTTO stadio. I want a shoe that weighs less than 12 oz., very comftorable, very durable, and has a decent touch that is $80-$130 so which 1 is right for me. PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!

Best shoes I have ever owned. - May 11, 2007
Player: Casey (Michigan)

The Copas are by far the best shoes I have ever played in. In the past I have had vapors, Puma King Classics, Predators, the Puma v1.06, and a lot more. I had the Vapors which at the time were the lightest shoes out there, then I got some Copas, and couldn't tell a difference in weight at all, and they are ten times more comfortable. Also, they are great on any surface. The first put them on, get buckets of water and dump them over your feet with the shoes on and they will mold to your foot like a glove.

This shoe is the best buy out there. For under $100 there is no question this is the best. There are other better shoes, but most cost around $200. I personally love the fit of this shoe, and i think that the leather is great. I have worn these shoes for the past 3 years, and I'm only on my 2nd pair. However I wear a size 10 tennis shoe, and i wear an 8.5 in the Copa. Buy this shoe!

Sweet shoes - May 04, 2007
Player: Bobby Smith (Charleston, SC USA)

Just for the people who want to know how the sizing works. It's a size and a half larger than usual. These shoes are a great pair of cleats. But the Adidas Profi's are almost the exact same. But the Profi's touch is way better. I've owned both pair so I'm not lying. So if you think this touch is good, think about the Profi's touch. And don't worry about the weight. I've had vapors and honestly I thought the Copas,Profi's were alot lighter. And these shoes aren't a bigillion dollars like the rest of them. If you aren't getting the Profi's these are still the next best thing you could get.

Player: Kubes (Novi, Michigan USA)

This has got to be the best shoe I have ever purchased! The leather is softer than Predators, and they have a better feel too. Copa's also have the world's best touch and feel. If you wear these shoes, I will guarentee you will shoot the ball twice as far as you used to. I have worn these everyday, from practice, to games, and even around my yard. Copa Mundials are amazingly comfortable too. I can run around for 3 hours and my feet don't hurt after! These are only 90 dollars, a lot cheaper than other kangaroo leather shoes. Once you get the Copa Mundial, you will never want to get a different shoe again!

Player: Eric QC (Asheboro, NC)

Since my first pair decades ago I refuse to play with anything else; aside from a pair of Adidas World Cup studs. The kangaroo leather molds to you feet and gets softer with each use (these boots, as with all quality leather shoes, benefit from regular polishing). One problem/concern with Copas is the size - I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe (running, dress shoe, boots of another company and even Adidas Samba flats) but I wear 8 1/2 Copas. If you are considering purchasing these boots online you should try them on in a local store first to make sure you get the right size then buy them cheaper here.

can't go wrong - Feb 21, 2007
Player: leon (dallas, tx USA)

there is a reason this shoe has been around so long. no complaints here, good all around boot. the only problem is that after some time the very front tip can start to rip, starts as a tiny hole then develops into a real hole after some time. eventually your toe will stick out, looks dumb but even worse end up with waterlogged feet any time the field is just marginally damp. one option is to apply some adhesive liquied solution when new to prevent damage or avoid dragging front toe when on rock hard fields. (especially grassless dirt hard surface). but other than that this is the best overall shoe I've had, the adidas kaiser is too heavy. these ar best.

Wow! I just got the Copas for Hanukkah, and they feel great! I normally wear an 11 in sneakers, and a 10.5 in cleats. However, I tried these on at a local soccer store and found that the 10s fit perfectly. I was in love immediately; it was like stepping into Heaven. They're tight, but not too tight. Just tight enough to give you good contact with the ball, but not to cut off circulation to your foot. The width is good for players with both wide and narrow feet, although they are probably more on the narrow side. These cleats are great if you're looking for simplicity. There are no pieces of rubber all over, no asymetrical (SP. It censored part of the word) lacing, split toes, or any other stuff like that which is supposed to improve your game. Other cleats just make you look fancy, but the Copa Mundials show who can play fancy. And for only $90, these are a steal! It would almost be a crime NOT to buy them.

Classic boot, classic style - Nov 19, 2006
Reviewer: anonymous (venice, ca)

This boot has not changed a bit since it was originally designed in the early 1970's for the World Cup (thus the name). In this age of synthetic leathers and flashy colors on a boot the Copa Mundial remains a standard. the Kangaroo Skin upper allows for amazing touch and the stud plate is good for all grassy and artificial surfaces. This boot is for real footballers that dont blame a poor touch on the boot or the ball.

Reviewer: Smart Buyer

These shoes are great. I have never had a better pair of shoes ever in my entire life. They are so soft and comfortable. The kangroo skinis amazing it just forms to the foot and is light weight. Also they dry quickly, you always have traction and havent worn down at all and Ive had them for a season and a half and a friend has had them for two and a half years still as good. I think for the price these are amazing shoes for any age and level of play. With these shoes you get everything you need and you save a lot of money. Now 3/4 of my team wear these shoes and nobody has complained about anyting. Even my coach has a pair. You can bet that these are the only shoes I will buy for soccer as long as they keep making them. Adidas has out down themselves yet again. You should put these shoes on the top of your list no matter what. They blow the Preditors and any Nike shoe that has ever been made. BUY THESE SHOES IF YOU WANT GOOD SHOES.

Long live the classic design. i currently use legends for my games and i love copas as well they are made w/ basically the same design features. No laces on the side, no microfiber, no rubber deals that are supposed to make the balls swerve in seven different directions, lets face it your boots wont make the ball swerve nay better only the person kicking the ball, and 3 ounses in the shoes wont make a bit of difference. IF you arent farmilliar w/ all the different boots this is the safest way to go.

No Problems Shoe - Nov 03, 2006
Reviewer: Willy (Oklahoma, USA)

I wasn't sure what cleats to buy for the 2006 season, so my dad and i did a little looking around. A business partner who used to play at college level recommended these to him for its durability and feel. Boy was he right! It's padded inside and, unlike other shoes, it doesn't hurt my feet. It is one of, if not the best cleats under $100. If it helps, I have played soccer for 8 years, and it raised my record for juggling by 5 on the first day...my record is pretty low, but heh(coincedince? i think not). The Copa Mundials have great grip, and have been worn throughout the years by many great players. The toe on this shoe is different from others in a way i can't explain how, but it helps. The kangaroo leather does just what it is supposed to do, fit perfectly. So, if your looking for a good, all-around shoe, this is the one. Complaints- long laces that need to be tied correctly (big whoop...), large tounge that sometimes needs adjusting (who cares?) Conclusion- great

just okay - Nov 02, 2006
Reviewer: Mac Douglas (LA , Calif.)

these shoes are okay at first, but they start to get very uncomfortable quickly. They don't stretch like normal kangeroos and the stitchings came off in about one month. even the white stripes starts to peal off very soon. not only that the looks aren't that great and it's pretty heavy. also the tractions aren't that good for firm ground, which is where most players play on. I'd recommend the mercuries or the predators. they both have good tractions and they fit like a glove. the mercuries are very light, the predators are pretty heavy with the pwr pulses, but the kangeroo leather on it makes it much more comfortable than the Copas, which its leather don't stretch that much at all.

Top Quality - Oct 19, 2006
Reviewer: JC (Baltimore)

Everyone this is the only boot that Adidas offers the public that is made in thir German factory, where they craft the custom fited boots of their contracted players. Stay away from plastic like the Tunit and gimmicks like the Predators. Most players playing in those grew up in Copas or Kings and now only wear gimmicked because they are made to measure for their feet. If you watch a lot of ex- players playing in legends matches they are wearing these and other classic shoes because they are comfortable and functional. Microfiber doesnt make you faster due to .02 ounces of weight reduction and rubber inlays on the upper don't bend the ball more. Either you suck or you don't the only difference boots make is if they fit your for or not. BTW I work in a soccer shop and I own 18 pairs of boots including Preds, Legends, AZT 4 and the like and these are still the best of the lot.

Greatest Cleats Ever - Oct 15, 2006
Reviewer: Queens Park Rangers #6 (Kansas City, MO USA)

These cleats are the greatest cleats ever. They last forever. You will outgrow them before you wear them out. They are completely waterproof. The only problem is that once water gets in, it won't come out unless you dump it out. They provide great traction and they aer virtually indestructable. Alot of other cleats with the asymetrical laces are no betting than these. If you think the asymetrical laces are better go right ahead, but personally I can't tell a difference. They provide plenty of heel support. You don't really have to worry about the studs wearing down because it takes along time for them to wear down. I have tried other cleats like Total 90s, Vapors, and Predators. These are the longest lasting cleat I have ever worn. The other cleats wore down in about 6 months but these have lasted me a year at the least. I have only had to buy one pair because they last so long that one of my friends let me have his old ones because they were in such good shape. BUY THESE CLEATS NOW!!!

Really Reliable Cleats - Oct 12, 2006
Reviewer: Steve (Portland, OR USA)

I've had my Copas for a year and a half now, and i've found them to be the most reliable and comfortable cleats i've ever had. The shoe is really well constructed with soft and durable kangaroo leather, reinforced leather in heel for protection, and a really strong polyurethane outsole. After two collegiate soccer seasons these have yet to give me blisters or hurt my feet in any way. Mine are starting to see a little wear and tear in the insole but other than that their still in great shape. My only complaint is that the studs don't give you much traction, and they may be a little on the heavy side for some people. I recommend using leather food or lube to keep up the kangaroo leather. I feel these are really good cleats for the price, plus they've been around for more than 20 years, thats gotta tell you something about its quality.

i guess the new trend is looks over quality...well, these here look very basic, but they're the greatest pair of cleats i've worn. i'm pretty sure there are some other good ones out there that just came out, but i guess those are fine if you want them to match your uniforms and have that kind of money...bottom line is that these here are great, durable, comfortable, reliable, not as expensive and more important, CLASSIC boots. besides, it's not like those other boots make you a better player or anything...soccer is a game of skill, not of who has the best, most-expensive gear...it's kinda sad that these classics are being overlooked just cause they look so basic...

Overall this is a perfect boot. The studs are perfectly placed and provide good traction on all types of surfaces. The kangaroo leather is soft and provides great touches. These cleats are very durable as well, and will last for seasons. My shooting accuracy and power is great with these cleats. If you are looking for a great boot this is the one. The sizing is a little large so go down 1/2 to 1 full size from your regular adidas, and 1 to 1 1/2 sizes down for other brands.

Ok guys, here is the truth: Great touch, Great shot, and good traction (sizing has to be right for these qualities). Only complaint i have is the tongue is kind of annoying. I would also recomend finding a local soccer shop and either buy or try on there. The sizing for this shoe is kind of wacky. I wear a 11 1/2 in Vapors and i had to drop down to a 10 1/2 in these. MAKE SURE YOU GET SIZING PERFECT!

I really love these boots. When these boots arrived I was just leaving for some club practice. and I decided to work them in at practice. and I can tell you that it is out of the box comfort. but I own the R10 legends, and the powerpulse preditor or w/e its called, and I switch my boots around regulary. And these ones are probably the most comfortable. But, sometimes when you first put them on for practice after a game the day before ( if you play highschool soccer ) they will hurt your feet. like i feel off centered. annyways overall good boot

I play in these boots and I can honestly say that I have never played in a better boot. It has been said below, but buy a size smaller and use mink oil liberally - they will fit your foot like a sock. Touch is brilliant in this boot as you can really feel the ball. Nevermind all the new high tech materials etc., etc. - without super high promo deals, all your favorite players would be in this boot. The only drawbacks would be if you need heavy cushioning on the heel or if you have a wide foot - probably you would need a NIKE boot (not Vapor). Also, the traction is basic. A blade offering might be welcome.

I've been using Copas for about 3 years now. I bought them from a friend so they were already used. They are definitely one of the most comfortable boots on the market. If I only had 100 bucks to spend on boots I'd get them again. The only problem I had with them is the leather started separating from the bottom in the front a little bit. It was probably from kicking the ground to many times on the shot. I'm not sure how long the guy before me had them but I'm sure they would last you a good while. I recently went out and bought some Puma Kings and I like them better because of the closer fit and feel. But you get what you pay for.

The Gift That Keeps Giving! - Sep 09, 2006
Reviewer: Cono Barbera (Columbus, OH)

I purchased my first Copas in 1994. I just replaced those in June/2006. The sizing runs slightly bigger these days, but the quality is still high. Consider these points very seriously: 1. Purchase these a size smaller than usual - Because of the Kangaroo leather, the Copa will generously stretch on a wet pitch. 2. If you have an abnormally wide foot, consider another style. Because you have to purchase these a size smaller, a wide foot will break the stitch seam which is hidden under the first white adidas stripe. Regardless, the Copa is a staple to quality soccer!!

Having played club ball in the 80's & 90's.. then High School & College, The Copa was always my HG Shoe. I recently purchased a new set of Copas for an old guy's league. It was as if I had never taken them off. I forgot what a good pair of socks felt like. I am amazed that with all the new tech, Adidas is still making the same shoe. The only changes that I notice on my new ones compared to my old ones.. there is no tri-foil on the back of the boot, they extended the Heel Counter through the arch, & the tongue is shorter. I guess when you make a classic, not many changes are needed..

The comfort is unbelieveable!!!!! absolutely no stud pressure what so ever!!!!! I tried predators and they were good comfort but not as good as copas. You need to buy a smaller size because they stretch about half a size bigger. Great buy you will not be disappointed.

Good Mid-Range Shoe - Aug 06, 2006
Reviewer: Tet (Cincinnati, OH USA)

The Copa is a very good shoe to start off in. All of my copas usually fall apart fairly quickly, (something about a heavy guy making fast turns and demanding cuts, just tears shoes apart) but I wouldn't hesitate to recomend these to anyone. A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Take care of them! Use [Leather Food] or a similar leather product or else your shoes will become crispy and the leather will rip 2. Glue any separtaion of the sole immediately, else the shoe will fall apart quickly. 3. Buy a miniscule bit shorter than a perfect fit, the leather will stretch. Start with this, then move on to the $100-$175 range, then hit a $180-$220 shoe. Finally get a few pairs of Pantofola D'oro's, the most amazing shoes ever made :) good day, hope this helped. (dang I was really hoping to use all 999 characters, but I still have 146 left)

nice shoes - Aug 02, 2006
Reviewer: dan (hillsborough, NC USA)

This are very good for the money. I have had two great shoes before this and this ranks right up there with them. I have had the legends and the new power pluse. The one thing thes shoes do different than the two types is They are not ture to the size. like size 8 is really a 9 or maybe a 8.5. i gave them a 4.5 because its flap is really hard to keep down.

Great Cleats - Aug 01, 2006
Reviewer: Pablo (Oklahoma)

These cleats are really great. If you have a wide foot they will fit you very well. They were a little too wide for my foot but my brother has a wide foot and they fit him perfectly. I put an insert in them and they fit great and wore wonderfully. Ive worn them for two years and they are great. I recomend these cleats to any skill level player. These are good for beginners all the way to advanced. They are also a great affordable price for an exceptional pair of cleats.

Never Had Nothin' Else - Jul 31, 2006
Reviewer: Elyse (Flagstaff, Arizona, USA)

For all of my competitive soccer career i have worm copas. they are comfortable, and simple...NO BLISTERS. EVER! They aren't too flashy looking either so you don't have to live up to your cleats. It is easy to just stick to one brand of shoes that you know and trust.

...Just remembered - Jul 26, 2006
Reviewer: Umar Khan (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)

My old Pumas came apart at the toes. When I went to buy these the rep told me that if that or any other serious thing happened to them during the first six months, they would get a rep from adidas to take a look at them and if it wasn't normal wear and tear adidas would replace the boots. I'm not sure if Puma has a similar policy but still, not a bad deal.

Great - Jul 26, 2006
Reviewer: Umar Khan (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)

I am a novice football boot buyer (only 2 pairs before both lowend). However, I do know enough to tell you that these are awesome cleats. They fit better than a glove (though be sure to buy around .5 size small since they expand), are great to dribble with, and shots are powerful. Since they fit so sungly they are so comfortable its scary. The only reason that these cleats got a 4.5 from me is that since they are such an old design they are not exactly up to date with cleat design, etc. The way the cleats (bottom part) are designed is awesome if you are an allaround player, but I have owned a pair of Puma Mestre GCi FG and it is definately much easier to accelerate with those, this is ofcourse is just my opinion and since im not exactly ligtning it may be inconsequential in you final decision to buy the cleats. I intend to buy these cleats as long as adidas produce them and I sincerely hope you give them a try, since they will be one of the best decisions of you life.

i love the look and feel of their soft leather, but the insole broke down quick and the boot lacks sufficient cushioning. You'd probably be better off in the nike legends or lotto stadios, but if you're like me, this is a shoe that has been and will continue to be a trusted classic

Very Fine Boot... Highly Recommended - Jul 25, 2006
Reviewer: Wallace (Lawrenceburg, Tennessee)

I gave the Copa Mundial 4.5 stars. There are two reasons it didn't get 5 stars: 1. support, 2. the thin, Kangaroo leather. These shoes are very thin with very little support. They have that almost barefoot feel. I know, that is what the Copa is about: great ball feel. But while the Kangaroo leather feels nice and needs very little breaking in, it also feels a little delicate for daily practice. I haven't had any durability problems, but I have had mine less than 1 year. The spikes are relatively shallow, which aid ball feel and control, plus give good traction in a most all conditions. These are comparable to my all-leather Nike Tiempo Premiers, but the Nikes have better support and cushioning and feel more substantial on your feet (and are less expensive). The Copas have a much better feel on the ball, though. BALL FEEL= 5. CUSHIONING= 3. SUPPORT= 3. DURABILITY= 4. LOOKS= 6! You feel like Franz Beckenbaur or Pele in 1974 in these black beauties! OVERALL= 4.5!

Copas - Jul 18, 2006
Reviewer: Anonymous

There is no doubt in my mind that therse cleaats are extremely comfortable and a great overall cleat. I found that there was one problem with the boot and that was the omount that the leather stretches on the cleat. I bought the cleat at a size 12 and like a size 13 now. So if your looking to buy this shoe buy a half size to a size smaller that normal. You want your boot to stretch sso that it will fit you snug.

pretty good - Jul 18, 2006
Reviewer: Anonymous

These shoes are good for touch and passing, but when it comes to making sharp turns outside of games, like when doing sprints at practice, you will get blister unless they are a little small. Its harder to get a powerful shot in these because they seem to cushin the ball when you kick it, at least it does to me. Overall this is a great shoe for most people.

Great Classic - Jun 24, 2006
Reviewer: Kevin (Florida)

this shoe is great if you are looking for a classic trusted by many of the best players in the world for countless years. the only reason i didnt give these a five star rating is because after playing three or four games in a tournament i began to develop blisters on the edge of my heel. overall these are a great deal(89.99) for a great shoe.

best in the world - Jun 23, 2006
Reviewer: Z (Texas)

Copas are by far the best cleats I've ever worn. They are the only shoe I've ever tried that I could wear them almost all day without breaking them in first and not get any blisters. If you add a decent leather conditioner into the care and maintence the copas feel like brand new every time you wear them. I've tried many different models and brands and have decided that copas are the only ones I will ever continue to buy.

They are plain and simple and don't bring much attention to your feet but are one of the top boots in the world. The leather is delicate and should be used on game day only.(but this goes for any kangaroo leather shoe)

These are the best boots around-both comfort-wise and durability. I had Kelme Master's but they never held up, but once I got the Copa's, they held up for two seasons, two spring, two fall seasons. The team turf's are also amazing. So if you are looking for the most comfortable boot around, go with the Copas.

It is just great! - May 28, 2006
Reviewer: Paul Sohn (La Habra, Southern California, USA)

I bought this shoe about 11 yrs. ago. I have bad kicking habit-toe kick and many times I kicked ground. For more than 10 years of 'abusing' this pair, I still do not have the toe of shoes 'opened'. Light, comfort, it is just great. Because I grew bigger, I feel the pair is tight, little bit unfomfortable. But this is my problem, nothing to do with this one!
