Similar to the Predator. Good touch on ball recieving and sending Great boot to shoot fancy with. Predator meets T-90's.

Possibly the greatest pair of boots I've ever worn - Sep 28, 2007
Player: the claks (long island)

First of all, I thought the XAI Vs were amazing, but these blow em out of the water. The first time I wore them, the touch was very responsive. You can tell how the "Motion Control" impacts your touch on each cut. My strike has been much more pure compared to the XAIs. I know Nike's thing is Put it Where you Want It, but my first practice, I killed my teammates in the crossbar challenge. Me, the left fullback. They also were really comfortable, and didn't give me blisters. something I've experienced while wearing adidas' I highly recommend these cleats.

are these good? - Sep 16, 2007

Should I buy these if I'm a defender and have very wide feet? I'm thinking of these or the legends

versitile - Sep 09, 2007
Player: Johnathan (Ohio)

Ok, ive had these boots for about two months now. Im in my high school season and I started the season playing back. But ive been changed around to center mid and forward and have found that these cleats perform well in every situation. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE YOU PLAY. They are a solid boot comperable to predators which I had before them. They feel the same and perform the same. Except predators have bladed studs and these are round which I think are better because they dont wear down as quickly. I slid all over in my predators. Get these over predators no matter where you play.

Difference from X III - Aug 23, 2007
Player: WAML (NE Florida)

People have been asking why these are not good for attackers or how they are different. Bring up a detailed photo of these and the normal ones, look at the heel counter and the wishbone, they look to be different. Then look at the studs, they are smaller, more like hard ground, but are called FG. Soft Grounds would change that, but I think the other things are the same. The only other difference is the predator style tung while X III's have a smaller one that only covers some of the laces. The wishbone looks less sturdy, so does the heel counter, maybe the fiberglass shank is not there. That would mean less support. So there are four main differences, and I think they might lack some support and traction, and so they would not be as good for mids and strikers.

Very good boot - Aug 14, 2007
Player: KJ (san diego, CA)

Excellent!!! These boots can take a beating. Previous boots fall apart on me very quick, because I play almost every day, but after two months these shoes are still standing strong with NO defects, which I expect because these things are soooo expensive. But so far they have been worth it, and if they last another month or so with no defects, I will definitely be purchasing them again after my boots finally Do fall apart if they do.

Which is best? - Jun 05, 2007
Player: Colin (Greenwich)

Is it true that these are only for defensive players. I am a midfielder and I play long passes towards the box and cross it from the wing. Would these be good for that or should I get the X III instead. I personally like these a lot better. If anyone used the X II, how were those? I like to get swerve on the ball also and I think these could do that. Anyone that knows which are best for a midfielder please tell. Sorry for all the questions but thank you for anyone who responds.

great boot - May 30, 2007
Player: I.D. (Park City, UT)

I'm 17 and a midfielder, with my tight budget I need really durable cleats, and these are the most durable around.I had the XIA MK-V before these and they're the most comfortable shoe i've ever worn. They both have the wishbone which has been in umbro boots since the early 90's.The feel on the ball is incredible for both cleats, I did put shoe shapers in the cleats to correct it from molding the wrong way, that helped a lot.If your not willing to pay the steep price just wait a few months and it'll cost half as much.If you want the cleat now but cant afford it buy the XIA you can get the high end ones as low as 85 bucks.Really recommend these to midfielders or defenders, stable real strong and smooth kicking surface too, the tongue strap didnt break on either one of mine and I played in over 100 games with the XIA, you can use them on field turf and firm grass.I haven't used the Vengeance in the mud yet, for that I use the XIA's.They're also John Terry's boots so you know they're good.

Look for cleats? Go with Umbro. - May 21, 2007
Player: Danny (Ontario)

I cannot stop talking about these cleats. They're just so much better than the other stuff out there. Durable, lightweight, and comfortable, what more could you ask? Again, Umbro has lived up to its reputation as the leader in cleat construction. Sure, I've had my fair share of Preds, but after using these, I've come to the conclusion that no cleats are better than umbro. If you're a striker or midfield, go with the X boot. If you're a defender, go with these.

Yes these do have a tongue strap. If you go to pro direct soccer.com without the spaces and search for Umbro Destroyers then they will show them with a tongue strap. They call them Destroyers for some reason

lnsc fire! - Mar 21, 2007
Player: john terry (idk)

the predators are also great cleats, i have had 3 pairs of absolutes and they were all great. the x boot was better because it is lighter, more comfortable, and more durable. the total 90 k's are terrible in my mind. i hated them, no power at all and they were so uncomfortable. i haven't tried the v-konstrukt-2.

Player: Anonymous (Highlands Ranch CO USA)

Yea these boots are the greatest boots ever! I would choose these over puma v-konstrukts total 90 supremacay and Absolutes! The kang leathers soft yet durable in dry, wet,or muddy conditions. The touch on these are unbeatable and deffinitely worth the money if you were smart you would get these.

I am looking forward to getting these soon - Mar 06, 2007
Player: Mr. Fantastic (The greratest place in the World)

Seriously, these look absolutely awesome. i am definately goin to get these for next season. also, although the x-boot III looks like *censored* on this website, they are really cool in person, and are even better than the absolutes and v konstructs, because i have had them both. They are by far the best boots i have ever gotten, light, comfortable, snug fit, great control, etc. If these are anything like the x-3, then these will be fantastic boots.
