Bethel College Head Men's Soccer Coach Melvin BeLong shares over 30 drills to work on footwork, ball handling, throwing motion and drops. BeLong guides his Bethel College players through a number of conditioning drills with the ball. He begins with simple warm-up drills, then moves into a variety of ball, footwork and heading drills. All of these drills are designed to mimic game situations and are training the players to be alert to their surroundings. BeLong's philosophy includes being a possession team, so he shares many possession and transition drills including 4v4v4, 6v6v6, 9v9, full team drills, midfield and full-field drills. BeLong is actively coaching his players during these drills so picking out coaching points is extremely easy. These drills can be used for any age or skill level of players. 55 minutes.
