Michael Ballack believes it could go either way when Chelsea face Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.
The Londoners secured their place in the final four by ousting Liverpool 7-5 on aggregate, while Barca enter the tie after comfortably brushing aside Bayern Munich 5-1 in their respective quarter-final clash.
Despite Barca being the bookmakers’ favorite, Ballack is confident the Blues have just as much chance of coming out on top. “Everybody knows about the strength of Barcelona, you could see it in the quarter-final against Bayern Munich, especially in the first leg when they scored four goals,” the Germany international told Sky Sports.
“So we know what to expect. I think our chances our 50-50. We are a strong team. We won against Liverpool and that gives us a lot of confidence,” he added.
