Heerenveen midfield prodigy Michael Bradley says he expects to enjoy more regular time on the pitch when the 2007/08 season rolls around.
The American Abroad is currently busy preparing for CONCACAF Gold Cup duty with the U.S. National Team after working 21 league matches for the Frisians.
“Going into last season, I knew I had to work to get better and I know that I did that,” Bradley told Top Drawer Soccer. “I’m looking forward to the fall.”
“One of midfielders from the team (Paul Bosvelt) is retiring, and in talking to the coach and people at the club, they’re really confident in me as a player.”
“They feel like I have a big role to play this year and are expecting me to be an important player at the club,” he added. “It’s up to me to have a good summer and go back with a good mentality and in good form so I can put them in a position where there’s no way they can not play me.”
