Chelsea skipper John Terry believes team-mate Didier Drogba is the best striker in the world at the moment.
Terry expressed his admiration following Drogba’s late winner in the Blues’ 2-1 win over Arsenal.
“Didier has been in great form of late and long may that continue. Because when he plays like that even if you’re the strongest defender in the Premiership or the world you are not going to get near him. He pins people back – he was chucking big defenders on the floor,” Terry said on the Sporting Life website.
“His link-up play is good and we saw in the end he’s got a great finish as well. Long may his goals continue.
“Early on in the season we had Nicolas Anelka’s goals, Frank Lampard contributes an awful lot, Florent Malouda popped-up with one today and now at the back end of the season Didier is banging them in.
“On that form he’s the best in the world for me. I’ve played against an awful lot of strikers and he’s definitely up there with the best.”
