The two loaned players are due to be back from Atalanta and Empoli at the end of the current campaign
Milan are trying to rejuvenate their squad by recalling some young talents loaned to other Serie A clubs and reassessing their assets.
That’s why next summer Atalanta midfielder Massimo Donati and Empoli defender Lino Marzoratti are going back to Milanello. They are both having a good season in their respective clubs.
Donati, a home grown product of Atalanta, joined Milan in 2001, when he was only 20. As his performances were not satisfying, he was loaned to several teams (Parma , Torino, Sampdoria and Messina ) before going back to Bergamo , where he shone again with Atalanta.
Marzoratti is very young (20) but has already proved himself a strong and talented defender, being one of the heroes of Empoli’s terrific 2006-07 season.
Another Empoli player, striker Nicola Pozzi, could also wear a Rossoneri shirt next season. He would replace departing Gennaro Borriello, at the moment still suspended for failing a drug test a few months ago.
