Despite their mediocre record and inner turmoil of recent years, Uruguay forward Diego Forlan has warned everyone not to discount an attack-minded Perú side at Copa América.
The team will employ a seasoned offense that features buzzing free kick wizard Jefferson Farfán running off of true target man Claudio Pizarro.
“Perú are a good team who have well known players,” observed Forlan of their Group A foes. “Their attack has players that can score goals, and they have lots of variety.”
“They are a strong side that play better every time.”
“We shouldn’t only be preoccupied with attacking, but also with defending – even more so because of the players they have,” he asserted. “We mustn’t underestimate any rival,”
