Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann has happily extended his stay with the Premiership side though the summer of 2008.
“The more time I’ve spent here the better it’s got, and I’ve never hidden the fact that I wanted to stay,” the American Abroad told the club website.
“My family is happy here, this is the club where I made my name and got back into the national team.”
Hahnemann has worked 206 contests for the Royals since arriving from Fulham and helped the club gain their first-ever promotion to the Premiership last season.
