Cristiano Ronaldo looks like he will in fact play against Villarreal after traveling out with the rest of the Manchester United team in preparation of their Champions League match.
The Portugal international was considered doubtful for the match, after he picked up a knock in United’s bruising 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.
According to the Sporting Life website, Ronaldo trained with the team on Monday morning, showing no signs of discomfort, and will in all likelihood feature for the Red Devils.
Darren Fletcher also trained with the team after missing the Villa game due to a knee injury.
It is understood that Ferguson plans to rest Edwin Van Der Saw, with either Tomasz Kuszczak or Ben Forster assuming the number one jersey.
Dimitar Berbatov and Wes Brown will both miss the game due to injuries.
