After stunning Brazil in their Copa América opener, Mexico coach Hugo Sanchez says he is charging the team with the assignment to make the final four of the tourney, and no less.
Spectacular first half goals from Nery Castillo and Ramon Morales gave El Trii al they would need to see off the Seleçao.
“We have done a good job of improving, little by little, our performance and we demonstrated that against Brazil, one of the best national teams in the world,” he exclaimed in the aftermath of the 2-0 Wednesday night upset in Venezuela.
“It is not a promise, but a responsibility that the team must reach the semifinals.”
