Founded in 1947 by Eigil Nielsen, the Danish national soccer team’s goal keeper, SELECT was the first to introduce a lace-less ball, and is the innovator of both the 32-section ball and the hand-sewn synthetic leather ball. This new construction changed the way of manufacturing soccer balls worldwide.

Throughout the history of the brand, SELECT has remained true to their commitment to quality craftsmanship with all of their balls still being hand stitched to ensure that you get the maximum lifespan out of each ball. 

As the small-sided, court version of the game grows in popularity, SELECT has also dedicated a portion of their new product range to futsal balls.

SELECT’s youth futsal balls are adapted to allow young players to learn the skills that are needed, at a size, weight and softness that is appropriate for them.

SELECT’s head office is located in Denmark near Copenhagen. All balls are produced in Pakistan by Anwar Khawaja Industries (AKI). SELECT’s workers and their families receive free medical assistance and medication through our SAHEP program. This program also provides education and schooling for all the workers’ children.
